Stop Bugging Me Insect Repellent

Condition your skin while you discourage insect bites.  Our environmentally friendly product is safe for use on children or pets.  Avoid eye contact and direct contact with deep wounds or skin breaks. Keep all cuts and significant skin breaks covered with a clean bandage to prevent infection. 

Key ingredients:

Jewel-weed (spotted touch-me-not, Impatiens capensis): a component in the leaves has reported antihistamine and anti-inflammatory activities.

Citronella oil is one of the essential oils obtained from the leaves and stems of different species of Cymbopogon. Citronella oil is also a renowned plant-based insect repellent, and has been registered for this use in the United States since 1948. The U.S. EPA considers oil of citronella as a biopesticide with a non-toxic mode of action. Research also shows that citronella oil has strong antifungal properties,and is effective in calming barking dogs.

Aloe: Used to keep skin beautiful and restore it to health. A frequent moisturizing ingredient in cosmetics and hair care products, it also promotes the healing of burns and superficial wounds, but should not be used on deep or surgical wounds of punctures. Topical application has been successful in treatment of sunburn frostbite, radiation injuries, some types of dermatitis, cuts, insect stings, poison ivy, ulcerations, abrasions, and other dermatological problems.

Witch Hazel: Witch hazel is mainly used externally on sores, bruises, and swelling. Witch hazel hydrosolis used in skin care. It is a strong anti-oxidant and astringent, which makes it very useful in fighting acne.  It is often used as a natural remedy for psoriasis and excema, cracked or blistered skin, for treating insect bites, and as a treatment for poison ivy.

Insect Bites

Bee, wasp, or hornet stings

Hives

Contact dermatitis resulting from allergic response from insect bite 

Provides mild relieve from the itching sensation of insect bites 

 

 


 

Recommended use: apply before outdoor activities in areas where insect bites are likely, and at first sign of insect bite and as frequently as needed thereafter, for comfort maintenance and healing. Reapply after swimming, sunbathing, or moderate sweating.
