Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is used as a pharmaceutical in Europe for the treatment of oral and genital herpes, cold sores, canker sores, shingles and chicken pox.  It is effective against bacterial infections of the skin as well.  It is the base in the German pharmaceutical product Lomaherpan, which contains a 1% concentration.  Our cream contains a 10% concentration of our own fresh, organic herbal extract.  Backed by extensive European research this herb has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-histamine, anti-itch, anti-tingling, antiseptic, decreases pain and antioxidant actions.  In addition, it is known to soothe bothersome insect bites and chronic skin inflammation.

Echinacea (Purple Coneflower) is also used in Europe to reduce the severity and duration of viral symptoms.  In 2006 it was approved in Germany as a pharmaceutical skin care treatment for viral and bacterial infections, inflammation and other skin problems.  Clinical trials showed an 85% or greater efficacy rate.  In addition, it reduces skin damage caused by sunlight.  

Research shows honey and propolis effectively deal with these concerns as well, then there is our proprietary Hive Isolates TM...Is it hope in a jar?  It certainly is, in fact, we think it is nothing short of miraculous! 

Suggested use:

Skin care and repair of structural damage to the epidermis caused by acute Bacterial infections such as acne, including cystic ance. Skin care and repair of structural damage to the epidermis caused by viral skin conditions like, Herpes (type I and type II) Chicken Pox and repair of structural damage to the skin. Shingles and repair of structural damage to the skin.

Recommended use:  We strongly encourage you to apply to skin areas at first sign of an infection, which in the case of herpes, often begins with a tingling sensation near the dormant nerve lesion. Attempt to stop the viral or bacterial infection from progressing by applying to the affected area or lesions as frequently as every 1-2 hours around the clock. For maintenance, healing support and pain relief apply as often as every 2-4 hours. When acute outbreak subsides, and skin is healed, use our second-line of defense, product, Prevention Complex for daily maintenance and as a topical prophylaxis.
