Primers gained popularity with the advent
of mineral make-up, although they have been used by conventional make-up users for quite some time. The primary benefits are
to prepare the skin for make-up application. An effective primer will moisturize, lessen the appearance of fine lines, and
enlarged pores, tone, and enhance the desired distribution of cosmetics. Primers are always applied to a clean moisturized
face before and after make-up application to grab the cosmetic and then to set the completed make-up. This will lessen touch-ups
throughout the day refreshing one’s make-up as well as one’s senses, with a pleasant aroma.
Primers can be used without
make-up on a clean face to refresh one’s skin after exposure to the outdoors or after a strenuous workout. We
have carefully balanced the ratio of ingredients so our primers, if used as recommended, will not dehydrate or cause excess
oil to accumulate on the face. In fact, the skin surface remains balanced and conditioned by the gentle honey and herbal tinctures
we prepare specifically for skin care. We prepare our own tinctures and infused waters with our customers best interests in
mind.
Some primers are specific for particular skin types, but unless noted are beneficial for all.
